Westmoreland

Westmoreland HomesOn the heels of Sequoyah Hills’ success, Westmoreland arose as an early suburb and is equally prestigious. “Old Westmoreland,” has homes ranging from cottages to grand estates. Most are on large, mature lots. Its entrance features The Waterwheel, a local landmark, and site of many a prom picture. Over the years, the convenience and reputation of the neighborhood saw many adjacent properties developed with different Westmoreland-like names – Westmoreland Hills, Westmoreland Estates, and Sherwood Oaks are newer and generally bigger than the Old Westmoreland homes. Westmoreland is home to folks in every stage of life, but is largely made up of families. It is particularly close to the city’s premier park, Lakeshore Park, which borders Ft. Loudon Lake and features many walking trails, baseball fields, a soccer field, and outdoor chapel. Lakeshore is the center of life for many West Knoxville families.
